Our Story

Built by artists.
Driven by light.

Lumiveil Studio began as a question: what happens when the precision of artificial intelligence meets the soul of analog photography?

The Founder

Trained in Paris.
Obsessed with light.

Élise Varnay spent twelve years as an editorial photographer for European fashion and culture publications before discovering that the future of portraiture lay at the intersection of traditional craft and machine intelligence.

In 2018, she founded Lumiveil Studio in New York with a simple mandate: every single portrait must tell a story that neither the subject nor the photographer expected going in.

Today, she leads a team of three photographers and two AI imaging specialists, working across New York, Paris, and Tokyo.

"I photograph what I cannot yet see — and the light finds it for me."

— Élise Varnay

What We Stand For

Our values are our lens

Authenticity First

AI enhances, never replaces. Every portrait begins and ends with a real human being in a real moment.

Intentional Craft

We reject the accidental. Every element — light, angle, post-processing curve — is chosen with purpose.

Privacy & Trust

Your images are yours. We maintain strict data protocols for all AI processing and never use client work without explicit consent.

Limitless Quality

We cap our client volume deliberately so that every session receives the same obsessive level of attention and artistry.
